Description
History
The British Empire saw exponential growth during the 1700’s and 1800’s, thanks greatly due to the size and strength of the Royal Navy. Although many ships were built for the purposes of battle, other ships were built for exploration, trading and fishing and all helped contribute to the development of the British Empire.
The HM Bark Endeavour is one such example, earning its place in history thanks to the voyages of Captain James Cook, who famously sailed to Australia and helped map out the Western coast. James Cook helped carve out some of the earliest maps of the world and clearly contributed to the growth of the British Empire, even though he never saw battle. Ships like the HM Bark Endeavour were well suited to exploration due to their capacity, which helped carry provisions and their strength on open waters.
At Premier Ship Models, we have built many models of the HM Bark Endeavour, due to it being extremely popular amongst naval enthusiasts and model makers. This particular model kit of the Endeavour is built in scale 1:64 and measures at 72.5 cm in length, 27.5 cm in width and 59 cm in height when completed.
