Imara Ship Model Kit (Twin Screw)
Caldercraft offer a spectacular collection of model boat kits that we are proud to offer at Premier Ship Models. One of their most popular amongst model makers is ‘Nelson’s Navy’, a selection of historical ships from the 1700’s, which belonged to Nelson’s famous navy that fought against the French in the Seven Years War and the Napoleonic conquests. Outside of this, they have created several model boat kits that can be adapted for use as an rc boat, like this one of the Imara tugboat.
The Imara tugboat was built following a commissioning of a Crown Colonies contract and was intended for delivery to Dares-Salaam, Tanzania. The British Empire colonised many areas across the world and Caldercraft have managed to capture different periods of British history through the production of their model kits. After serving her initial contract as a harbour tugboat, the Imara joined the Royal Navy and was renamed Perseverance.
This model ship kit is highly detailed and contains over 1,400 parts, so it is not recommended for somebody who has never made models before. The number of pieces means that this model kit is an extremely accurate replica of the original vessel. It can be adapted for use as an rc boat, this twin screw version allowing more engines to be added, whilst the single screw version (click here to view) allows for easy installation of a steam plant.
If you have any questions about this model kit, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to offer any assistance.
