Royal Caribbean has officially unveiled the newly upgraded Harmony of the Seas after the massive Oasis-class cruise ship completed an extensive six-week dry dock renovation in Cadiz, Spain. The highly anticipated refit brings exciting new dining experiences, entertainment venues, and additional guest accommodations designed to enhance the onboard experience for future travelers.
The ship is now preparing to resume Mediterranean sailings beginning May 21, 2026, from Barcelona, Spain.
Harmony of the Seas Completes Major Transformation
After entering the Navantia shipyard on April 3, 2026, Harmony of the Seas underwent one of its most significant refurbishments since its launch in 2016. Hundreds of workers participated in the large-scale renovation project, which combined routine maintenance with major onboard enhancements.
The revitalized vessel now offers expanded guest amenities, refreshed public spaces, and nearly 100 additional staterooms to accommodate growing passenger demand.

New Dining & Bar Experiences Added Onboard
One of the biggest highlights of the renovation is the addition of several new restaurants and entertainment venues aimed at elevating the guest experience.
Lime & Coconut Pool Bar
The vibrant tropical-themed Lime & Coconut bar has been introduced to the reimagined Caribbean-inspired pool deck. The venue offers a lively atmosphere with island cocktails, upbeat music, and relaxing poolside vibes.
El Loco Fresh
Guests can now enjoy complimentary Mexican cuisine at El Loco Fresh, featuring tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and fresh salsa selections.
Samba Grill Brazilian Steakhouse
The ship also welcomes the popular Samba Grill Brazilian Steakhouse, offering an upscale dining experience with carved meats and Brazilian-inspired specialties. The restaurant has become a guest favorite on several Royal Caribbean ships.
Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade
Sports fans will appreciate the addition of Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade, which replaces the former Sabor Mexican restaurant space on Deck 6. The venue combines game-day dining with classic arcade entertainment such as Pac-Man and Skee-Ball.
Pesky Parrot Tiki Bar
Royal Caribbean has also replaced the former Bionic Bar with the colorful Pesky Parrot tiki bar. The tropical venue has already gained popularity on newer ships and adds a fresh nightlife experience to Harmony of the Seas.
Nearly 100 New Cruise Cabins Added
To increase passenger capacity, Royal Caribbean added nearly 100 new guest cabins during the refit.
Several premium panoramic suites were constructed near the bridge area of the ship, offering breathtaking floor-to-ceiling ocean views. Additional interior cabins were added across Decks 6, 11, and 14, replacing former conference areas and underutilized spaces.
The expanded accommodations provide travelers with more booking options, including budget-friendly interior rooms and upgraded suite experiences.
Mediterranean Cruises Begin Before Caribbean Return
Harmony of the Seas will resume service with a 4-night Mediterranean sailing departing from Barcelona and visiting destinations such as Palma de Mallorca and Marseille.
The ship will continue operating Mediterranean itineraries through July 2026 before repositioning to Port Canaveral, Florida. Following its Atlantic crossing, Harmony of the Seas will offer cruises to the Bahamas and Caribbean.
