Passenger vessels carry a strong visual identity, which makes them a natural subject for a commissioned model. Livery, funnel marks and name boards do most of the recognition work, and getting them right is most of the job.
What defines the model
Superstructure profile and window lines, vehicle ramps and car deck openings, open and covered passenger decks, lifeboat and liferaft arrangements, mooring decks, bridge wings and mast detail, reproduced from drawings, class records and photographs of the vessel in service.
Livery and periods
Where a ship has run in more than one livery, tell us which period you want. Where a company has rebranded, we can build to the current scheme or to the one people remember.
Construction and display
Hull and superstructure in timber, with glazing cut for saloon and bridge windows, and repeating elements such as railings and seating produced by etching or 3D printing. Cutaway builds showing the vehicle deck or accommodation are available where the model is used to explain rather than decorate.
Other options
Stock models are in ready made ferries and passenger boats, and kits in passenger boat kits. To commission a named vessel, send us the details.
Common questions
Can you build a withdrawn ferry?
Yes. Withdrawn and scrapped vessels are among the most requested subjects here.
Can you produce several vessels as a fleet display?
Yes, to a common scale with matching bases and plates.
