The HMS Bounty was built in 1784 and is soaked in history. It served as a small merchant vessel, purchased by the Royal Navy, to fulfil a botanical mission. Tasked to acquire breadfruit plants for transport, it set sail for the Pacific Ocean.
It never got to fulfil this mission, though. Known as ‘The Mutiny on the Bounty’, it really does have a fascinating and dramatic back story. With the HMS Bounty model kit, you will have the chance to recreate a true piece of British history.
This all-in-one kit is fantastic for beginners, and measures in at 34 centimetres in length, 4 in width and 26 in height. It has a pre-built wooden hull, and the instructions can be provided in English, French, German or Italian.
