The Emma C Berry Lobster Smack, or sloop smack, was launched in 1866 and is one of the oldest surviving commercial vessels in America. Named after Captain John Henry Berry’s daughter, it was designed much like other sloop smack vessels, with a sloop rig and two-head sails.
