A tugboat is marine vessel that will push or pull other vessels by direct contact or a tow line. They will tug ships that cannot move at all, such as barges, disabled ships, log rafts or oil platforms. They move other boats and ships in crowded harbors or narrow canals. For their size they are powerful and durable. At first, they were powered by steam engines now they have diesel engines. Many have deluge guns to help in firefighting in harbors.
This tug has been designed with a carved basswood hull, laser cut wood, etched brass and custom cast Britannia metal fittings. The plans and instruction manual are clear and concise.
