This kit is for medium skilled hobbyists and the only thing necessary which is not included are the tools, glue and paint.
For those who do not wish to build their own kit, Premier Ship Models offers the service of assembling the kit for our clients and dispatch as a ready made ship. This and other models from Artesania Latina at Premier Ship Models are built from quality woods such as tanganyka, beech, mahogany or walnut. The precise nature of this model kit is demonstrated by paying attention to ornaments, planking, masts, wooden fittings or other details on the ship.
There is not much information about this historical ship which fought in the War of Independence against the United Kingdom. The Independence was a 10 gun ship built in 1775 which was allegedly lost at Cracoke Inlet, North Carolina in 1778. Another Independence which followed after the original one was built in 1777 and carried the same name but was not commissioned by the Continental Navy, but instead by the Massachusetts Navy.
